Late Night Christian Shopping
Puppets? “Drama team?” Dance?
And a rock choir?
All I want for Christmas is to
shop for Christmas in Taunton, England
Far, far into the night

Mary Valle lives in Baltimore and, in the latest KtB book, Believer, Beware, wrote about her adventures in sex ed at Catholic school. She blogs on KtB as The Communicant. For more Mary, check out her blog or follow her on Twitter. She is currently working on a novel called The Hexagon, which is, roughly, Rosemary's Baby set in a Waldorf-type school.

The linked article from the Somerset County Gazette, while it includes details of the community’s entertainments for that evening, doesn’t seem, to me, to be a glowing beacon of an example of the hyper-commercialization of Christmas. Said hyper-commercialization of Christmas, meanwhile, seems to be the slant of Valle’s posting. Let the choir kids be, eh?

It’s hard to tell sometimes, I know, but I actually really do want to go Christmas shopping in Taunton, England with the dancing and the rock choir and everything. I actually would really enjoy that.
